Won't my baby get too hot?

The hat and eye mask are lightweight 100% cotton jersey - breathable, natural fibre, designed for daytime wear in all conditions. It's not a warmth layer. We don't recommend it in extreme heat, and as always, keep an eye on your baby.

How do I know which size to get?

Four sizes take you from newborn to 18 months: 0–3m, 3–6m, 6–12m, and 12–18m. If your baby is between sizes, measure around the widest part of their head and match it to the size guide on the found here. Most parents find their baby's age lines up nicely with the right size.

Will my baby actually keep it on?

The stretch cotton-and-lycra band sits snug above the ears with no loose edge to grab. Most parents are surprised - little hands can't get a handle on it.

Is it safe?

Yes. Like any baby product, the Nap Hat is designed for supervised use - and used that way, it's straightforward and safe. The fold-down eye mask covers the eyes only, its curved edge sitting clear of the nose and mouth at all times so you can always see your baby is breathing freely. There are no small parts, no sharp edges, and child-safe stitching throughout. Not for cots, bassinets, or overnight sleep. Keep your baby in view, the same as you would with any hat.
